We are very pleased to announce that we are recruiting a new Communications Officer to join the Detention Action team!
The post-holder will be responsible for leading on the communications work of a small, dynamic, award-winning charity working in a complex and controversial field.
This is particularly exciting time to be communicating detention: there is a burgeoning detention reform movement and more political and media attention around the issue than ever before. Engaging new and existing audiences will be crucial to building on this momentum in order to push through lasting change.
As well as growing our #Time4aTimeLimit campaign to end indefinite detention, the Communications Officer will also lead on the development and implementation of a communications strategy supporting innovative solutions-based campaigning for detention reform and alternatives to detention.
The post-holder will also work in collaboration with a team of communications officers as a part of a new Migration Communications Hub, where they will develop and implement a strategy linking detention campaigning with wider issues of migration justice in the UK.
Applications will close at 10am on Tuesday 30th August and interviews will be held on Friday 9th September. Please download the application pack for more information and details of how to apply.
